Even the tech that came out was like.yeah get a mesh. Maybe I got lucky just switching to Spectrum because I have a separate Docsis 3.1 so I'm good to go but I very much appreciate the heads up. Turning it off immediately made my printer connect to the closer one again. I turned it on anyway just to make sure it doesn't connect back to the further eero!Įdit2: I turned off bandsteering coz it's making my printer connect to the further eero. My printer went from 2 bars to 5 bars :)Įdit: I just read another post about bandsteering.

Wait till eero is back on and check which one the device is connected to. Make sure to stay in range to the one you actually want to connect to While the eero is restarting, Move your device as far as possible from the eero that you don't want to connect to.

Restart eero (the one you don't want to connect to) in app Maybe this is a known trick, but just in case it is not. They literally have no control over another company's device. Not saying who is right or wrong, but I already know Epson will not be able to determine which eero it connects to before contacting them coz they might not even know what eero is. And that we gotta contact the device manufacturer to solve this issue.

A lot people seem to be pissed there is no way to select a specific eero to connect to, and they are being told that eero would choose the best one to connect to, and it's up to the device which to connect.

So I have to restart printer, run trouble shooter, and restart Printer Spooler in windows services, and all that mumbojumbo just to print something.Īfter doing research online, I could not find a single solution coz it seems to be a known issue. Sometimes it has 1 bar and doesn't respond to print command even after I reserved IP address for it. It's ridiculous coz it has just 2 bars of signal on average. I have a wifi printer that connects to an eero that is 20 times further than the one next to it.
